Network Power Quality
This app provides an accurate measure of the Power Quality parameters, at a given SDS, according to the normative EVS-EN 61000-4-30:2015. The data provided by this app allows DSOs to easier follow and control their compliance with Power Quality regulations imposed by regulator institutions.
Basically the user needs to select the SDSs where he wants the NPQ operation mode to be activated, and press Start to initiate the mode in each of the SDSs. After that, the corresponding devices will start sending power quality parameters values to the platform which can be seen in the app’s interface, both on table and on chart, and exported to a CSV file. When desired, the user can Stop the operation mode and turn the selected devices back to the Normal operation mode.
Configuration
The device parameters for the Network Power Quality mode are:
- Frequency system (50/60): the frequency system used by the network.
- Nominal voltage (V): the nominal voltage used by the network.
- Dip threshold (% Nominal): Dip threshold with respect to nominal voltage.
- Dip hysteresis (% Nominal): Dip hysteresis level with respect to nominal voltage.
- Swell threshold (% Nominal): Swell threshold with respect to nominal voltage.
- Swell hysteresis (% Nominal): Swell hysteresis level with respect to nominal voltage.
- RVC Top threshold (% Nominal): Rapid Voltage Change top threshold with respect to nominal voltage.
- RVC Top hysteresis (% Nominal): Rapid Voltage Change top hysteresis level with respect to nominal voltage.
- RVC Bottom threshold (% Nominal): Rapid Voltage Change bottom threshold with respect to nominal voltage
- RVC Bottom hysteresis (% Nominal): Rapid Voltage Change bottom hysteresis level with respect to nominal voltage.
- Interruption threshold (% Nominal): Voltage Interruption threshold with respect to nominal voltage.
- Interruption hysteresis (% Nominal): Voltage Interruption hysteresis level with respect to nominal voltage.
Results
While in the Network Power Quality mode, the device sends the following information to the platform (every 10 minutes):
- Power frequency (Hz): Voltage frequency on the reference line.
- Umag (V): the magnitude of the voltage, on each line (L1, L2, L3).
- Underdev (%): voltage underdeviation as a percentage of the nominal value;
- Overdev (%): voltage overdeviation as a percentage of the nominal value;
- Uunb0 (%): voltage unbalance (zero sequence).
- Uunb2 (%): voltage unbalance (negative sequence).
- SgHarmL1(%): Subgroup harmonics for phase L1 (up to index 40).
- SgHarmL2(%): Subgroup harmonics for phase L2 (up to index 40).
- SgHarmL3(%): Subgroup harmonics for phase L3 (up to index 40).
- SgIntHarmL1(%): Subgroup inter harmonics for phase L1 (up to index 40).
- SgIntHarmL2(%): Subgroup inter harmonics for phase L2 (up to index 40).
- SgIntHarmL3(%): Subgroup inter harmonics for phase L3 (up to index 40).
The values of the parameters are computed using 10minutes aggregation as specified by the normative.
Additionally, the following events are also reported to the platform (when they occur)
- Dips:
- Dip start time,
- Dip duration (in ms),
- Uresidual (V), the residual dip voltage;
- Swells:
- Swell start time,
- Swell duration (in ms),
- Umax (V), the maximum swell voltage;
- U interruptions:
- Interruption start time,
- Interruption duration (ms);
- RVC:
- RVC start time,
- RVC duration (ms),
- RVC dUmax (V), the maximum difference between voltages within RVC event and the last voltage average prior to RVC event,
- RVC dUss (V), the maximum difference between voltage averages after and prior the RVC event.
